What is RTI?
Response to Intervention is a fluid three-tiered based model, which allows students to actively move between the three tiers as the teacher and facilitator feel necessary. The scope of the tiers changes as the students’ moves from a surface level support to a deep more student specific support based environment. The student is placed in a tier based on observation, work samples, and assessment tools. This information is re-evaluated every few weeks, the data is then analyzed and the student moved accordingly.
