- The RTI model does not provide any suggestions for student improvement.
- The model was developed at an elementary level focusing on primary and intermediate grades not high school.
- A school personnel must be capable of carrying out the model it.
- A decrease in the number if Educational assistants makes it difficult to support students learning needs.
- A lack of funding and training provided.
Misconceptions:
- Teachers have proper training and courses. Many teachers are only introduced school visits and introductory workshops
- All teachers work together to ensure student success during the Tier 3 Stage. Many staff cutbacks effect the support teachers can provide students.
- The RTI model will take the same amount of time to be implements in a elementary and high school.
